About Nim
Nim is an all-in-one AI video creation app with world’s best models, millions of reusable clips, and powerful prompt assistant.
Since January 2025, we grew from 25k to 1M users and from $15k to $1.8M ARR.
In June, we will launch our agentic layer able to create social-media-ready videos with a single click — think “Cursor for video production”. Nim copilot will gather facts and references, write a script, generate images and video clips, prepare captions, and do the final editing.
Our mission is to build the world’s most creative AI that works alongside humans and helps them produce videos worth millions of views.
About the role
This is hyper-focused version of the Head of Marketing role. Instead of building and managing a large number of channels, you will only have two objectives for the next 6 months: (2) iterate on Nim's positioning and messaging, and (1) catalyze earned media coverage to reach 100M views — make the world talk about Nim for free.
Responsibilities
- Messaging and creative development (20% focus)
- Iterate on key messages for Nim, e.g. “turn anything into a video”
- Identify narrow creator segments with highest need and personalize messaging for them
- Develop talking points and creative briefs for paid influencer campaigns
- Track competitor activity to keep our positioning clear and differentiated
- Earned media (80% focus)
- Launches. Plan and execute major product launches across all channels, including own social media, reviewers, and press.
- Relationships. Build and maintain relationships with top influencers, reporters, and power users, providing them with early access, personal demos, and reusable footage.
- Special projects. Do something attention-worthy and related to Nim. E.g. collabs with celebrities (“Nim users made a music video for Billie Eilish”), key milestones (”AI-made video got 1M views on TikTok”), contests, leaderboards, and events.
- Reactions. Create sharing-worthy content in reaction to relevant external narratives, industry events, and trends.
Expectations
2 Weeks. Make an iteration on Nim’s positioning and messaging. Build a list of key influencers and media contacts. Research competitors. Draft a list of upcoming features with marketing angles and launch potential.
2 Months. Get 1M+ views for our next major launch. Build a consistent organic influencer program and catalyze regular non-paid content about Nim. Achieve 20M+ total earned media views across platforms.
6 Months. Scale the earned media program. Make Nim top-5 most recognized brand in the field of AI video. Make Nim’s differentiation and advantages clear to most people. Achieve mainstream awareness — even people who aren’t directly involved with AI video should have heard about Nim a few times. Achieve the level of industry reputation, where every new launch gets coverage and response because it was done by Nim.
Requirements
- Exceptional promoter skills. Fell in love with something and made others care about it. Can be events, apps, content, anything. Achievements measured in specific numbers: views, followers, attendees, signups, installs, revenue, etc.
- Hacker mentality. You can find non-obvious ways to get attention and know how to get to important people.
- Startup fit. Comfortable with rapidly changing plans and high-autonomy, fast-paced, remote-first culture.
- Opinionated yet collaborative. Has strong ideas how to do things but also willing to listen to teammates and incorporate some of their ideas.
Would be a big plus:
- AI-native. Worked in an AI-related field (LLMs, agents, video, etc.) for 6 months or more. Can be an in-house role in an AI company, event organizer, blogger, etc.
- Built a following. Consistently created high-views content for a certain audience or topic.
- Single-channel mastery. Great at content creation and getting high views on at least one platform: e.g., TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit.
- Remote-ready. Worked on remote-first team before
