Nim · Frontend Engineer

About Nim

Nim is an all-in-one AI video creation app with world’s best models, growing library of premium templates, and a powerful agent that can make long scripted videos in one click.

Nim raised $5M+ from top venture firms in Silicon Valley. We launched in January 2025 and grew to 2M users and $3M annualized revenue run-rate since then.

Our mission is to build the world’s most creative AI that works alongside humans and helps them produce videos worth millions of views.

About the role

We’re looking for a product-minded Frontend Engineer who can ship fast, own features end-to-end, and focus on building user-facing product UI. You’ll work closely with design and product teams to turn raw ideas into simple, responsive, and performant interfaces while iterating quickly based on feedback and data.

This role is for someone who thinks like a builder, pays attention to the details that shape the user experience, and enjoys the fast, creative pace of a startup.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership: Take full responsibility for end-to-end development, from concept to deployment. Work on every aspect of frontend feature development, from idea to launch.
  • Build and Maintain: Develop new features, fix bugs, and address tech debt. 60% new feature development, 20% bug fixing, 20% tech debt.
  • Autonomy: Deliver directly to production, no need for reviews or approvals — full autonomy.
  • Product Impact: Ship features used by tens of thousands of people every day and help drive our product’s growth.

Would be a big plus:

  • Metrics culture. Worked at big tech, unicorn, early stage startup, agency, or any other high-pressure, result-oriented workplace.
  • Remote-ready. Worked on a remote-first team before

Expectations

  • Within 2 weeks: Get up to speed, tackle a challenging, real task to get familiar with the product and show how quickly you adapt.
  • Within 3 months: Develop 2-3 larger features independently, whether for customers or internal use.
  • 6-12 months: Be fully independent, take initiative on optimizations, and contribute to product decisions.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a frontend engineer
  • Skills: Must have proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Next.js
  • Mindset: Highly responsible and product-driven with a results-oriented attitude. We’re looking for someone who can see the bigger picture and contribute beyond just writing code.
  • Flexibility: Comfortable with both large and small tasks and able to adapt to evolving product needs.
  • Initiative: Willing to challenge ideas and share insights.
  • Startup fit. Comfortable with rapidly changing plans and high-autonomy, fast-paced, remote-first culture.

Would be a plus:

  • Backend production expertise with NestJS.

Ideal Candidate

  • Developer with a product mindset.
  • Capable of balancing structured, systematic work with a passion for delivering results.
  • Open to working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high autonomy.
  • Not afraid to dive into both bug fixing and greenfield development.
  • Prior experience building large-scale B2C products — where design, performance, and smooth interactions matter — is a big plus (but not required).

Nim offer

  • Remote role with an option to join our hubs in San Francisco or Barcelona
  • High cash, high equity
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Opportunities to grow: Work closely with world-class team members and contribute meaningfully to an evolving product

Why join

  • Make history. Drive mainstream adoption of AI video and kickstart a new era of creativity
  • Incredible customers. Nim serves the most creative people on the planet
  • Killer team. Everyone is world-class at what they do, like in Ocean’s Eleven
  • Great product. Best agent, best UI, and more tools/models than in any other AI video app
  • Sharp culture. Focused, intense, fast-paced, and kind

Factors to consider

  • Need to fall in love with AI video. If our field doesn’t inspire you, it isn’t a fit
  • High uncertainty. This is a seed stage, plans change fast, and we’ll miss some shots
