About the company
Nim is an all-in-one AI video creation app with world’s best models, millions of reusable clips, and powerful prompt assistant.
We fully launched in January 2025 and grew to 1M users and $2M ARR since then.
In June, we launched Nim Stories — our agentic layer able to create TikTok-sized videos with a single click. Nim will gather facts and references, write a script, generate images and video clips, prepare captions, and do the final editing.
Our mission is to build the world’s most creative AI that works alongside humans and helps them produce videos worth millions of views.
About the Role
We’re looking for a full-stack engineer to join our team and play a key role in driving the growth of our product. You’ll be essential in maintaining and expanding our infrastructure, while also creating innovative solutions from scratch. This is a hands-on position where you'll work across both frontend and backend to ensure smooth and efficient product development.
We’re seeking someone with solid experience who can take ownership and approach the role with dedication and responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Ownership: Take full responsibility for end-to-end development, from concept to deployment. Work on every aspect of feature development, from 0 to 100.
- Build and Maintain: Develop new features, fix bugs, and address tech debt across both frontend and backend. 50% new feature development, 25% bug fixing, 25% tech debt.
- Autonomy: Deliver directly to production, no need for reviews or approvals — full autonomy.
- Product Impact: Help ship features from our Roadmap.
Expectations
- First 2 Weeks: Get up to speed, tackle a challenging, real task to get familiar with the product and show how quickly you adapt.
- First 3 Months: Develop 2-3 larger features independently, whether for customers or internal use.
- 6-12 Months: Be fully independent, take initiative on optimizations, and contribute to product decisions.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a full-stack engineer, with backend production expertise.
- Skills: Must have proficiency in TypeScript, NestJS, NextJS and React. Nice-to-have experience with Python and LLM agents.
- Mindset: Highly responsible and product-driven with a results-oriented attitude. We’re looking for someone who can see the bigger picture and contribute beyond just writing code.
- Flexibility: Comfortable with both frontend and backend tasks and able to adapt to evolving product needs.
- Initiative: Willing to challenge ideas and share insights.
Ideal Candidate
- Developer with a product mindset.
- Capable of balancing structured, systematic work with a passion for delivering results.
- Open to working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high autonomy.
- Not afraid to dive into both bug fixing and greenfield development.
- Prior experience in AI, video, or creative tools is a plus but not required.
Nim Offer
- Compensation: Competitive salary and equity package.
- Remote-first: Flexible work environment.
- Unlimited PTO.
- Opportunities to grow: Work closely with world-class team members and contribute meaningfully to an evolving product.
Why Join
- Impact: Your work will directly shape the product and user experience.
- Creative Freedom: Opportunities to bring your ideas to life and experiment with new technologies.
- Friendly Remote Team: Join a focused, driven, and innovative team. Minimum calls, maximum focus.
- Dynamic Environment: Engage in meaningful projects that challenge and inspire. The most explosive enthusiastic situation in the wave of growth
- Great product design: Work on the best UI in the AI video space.
- Excellent DX: We keep things clean and simple, with no hassle during setup or project launch, and a user-friendly infrastructure.
Factors to Consider
- High Autonomy: You’ll have a lot of freedom to decide how to approach problems, but with that comes responsibility.
- Hands-on Role: This is an execution-first position. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves and diving into code, this role is for you.
